Fifth lecture about Power System

To know more of power system must educate That  :

The advantages of AC system compared with DC system :

• Voltage level can be easily transformed in AC system .
• AC generator are much simpler than DC generator .
• AC motors are much simpler and cheaper than DC motors .

Basic Characteristic of electrical power system :

1. electric power system is a balanced 3-ph system .
2. synchronous machine for generation of electric , prime mover transfer the
   prime.
3. source of energy to mechanical energy , that converts to electric energy be
   
   generator Transmit power over significant distance to consumer .

The difference between Tie Line and Transmission line :

The Tie line :

Interconnect between two different power system .

The transmission line :

Interconnect the parts of power system , like between generation station and 

distribution station .       

The meaning of power system reliability :

The system continuous with change load , with fixed frequency and fixed voltage .
