The Ring Main Unit

 First we will study the Ring Main Uint:

It is divided into two forms:

Ring Main Uint 12kv:

Less than 2 meters long

The size of the electric knives inside is small

- The size of the cutting knife is small

The distance between the bars is small, maybe 11 cm

Ring Main Uint 24kv :

Longer than Ring Main Uint 12kv

- The size of the electric knives inside is greater than the Ring Main Uint 12kv

- The size of the separating knife is larger than the Ring Main Uint 12kv

The distance between the bars is large, ranging from 24 to 26 cm

Note :

The maximum number of knives is 4 inside the Ring Main Uint

  its types:

1- Knife input (KL)

2- Knife output (KL)

3- manipulator knife (KL)

4- Sakina Fuse (KLF)

For understanding in the field of work:

If it is said:

Ring main uint 1+1: This means that it has a knife in or out + a knife fuse.

 Ring main uint 1+2: This means that it has two knives, either in or out or manipulator + a fuse knife.

Ring main uint 1+3: This means that it has 3 input/output knives and a manipulator + a fuse knife.

The Heater:

It is located inside the ring main uint and is used in case there is water vapor or dew on the joints or anywhere inside

Ring main uint for this heater adopts evaporation and has a variable resistance to control the temperature change.

We find the heater in the ring main uint 12kv: it takes 25AMP and 200W

And the heater in the ring main uint 24kv: takes 40AMp and 400W

There are also two ammeters and voltmeters to measure current and voltage, and it has a scale of 0:5.

Earth Fault indcator : (EFIS)

In the event of a cable falling or touching the ground, there are:

Coil (1 coil) for Earth Fault in the 2KL +1KLF Ring main unit

Two files (2coil) for Earth Fault in the 3KL+1KLF Ring main unit

It is considered a sensor that sends a signal to the Earth Fault, showing a sign of a Fault and feeding it with a voltage of 220v
