Electrical Kiosk

 Electrical Kiosk :

The Electrical kiosk Contain from :

Ring Main Unit, Transformer and Low Voltage.

We now explain everything separately to make the clarification process complete:

We previously explained two lectures to explain the Ring main unit, its composition, the types of knives in it, and the conditions for the maintenance process and after the maintenance process inside the Ring Main unit.

Transformer:

As we know and studied it before and it was explained in two previous lectures:

It is an electrical device that enters a certain voltage to it, and the electrical transformer converts it to a higher voltage or to a lower voltage, and this depends on the transformer used. To another voltage, and this is within a fixed range of electrical frequency, that is, the frequency is not changed.

Transformer configuration:

  • Consists of a primary coil
  • Consists of a Secondary Coil
  • Iron Core

Working idea:

1- An electric current passes through the primary coil and a changing magnetic field is generated.

2- The generated magnetic field cuts the coils of the secondary coil.

3- It results from cutting secondary coils induced electrical potential.

4- We find that this induced electrical voltage is the cause of the electrical current passing in the event of a load.

Types of transformers:

Dry Transformer:

The cooling process is carried out in the dry transformer through fans (Fans) or through the air.

Oil Transformer

The cooling process is carried out in the oil transformer through this oil. This transformer must be completely stable at high temperatures for a long time. We find that this oil is filled with the electrical transformer with a protective relay such as the Buchholze Relay, which is a protective relay that protects the transformer from the accumulation of gases Inside the transformer and its output from:

  • corona discharge.
  • High temperature .
  • The occurrence of electric arc inside the transformer (Internal Electric arc).

Rated Power - Input - Output
    For example, we find written on the electrical transformer these data:
      Rated Power = 1000w
        Input = 11kv
          Output = 400v
